SPOTLIGHT ON SPRINGPORT

Someone will win $100 at this year’s Spotlight on Springport event sponsored by S.A.G.A. (Springport Area Growth Association).

“We wanted to let people know when they come into town for 8-80 Days activities, that we have a variety of businesses in town.  We want to show them off,” said Jerry Heisler, SAGA member.

The following businesses will participate on Saturday, June 16 from 9:00 a.m. until noon:  Homestead Savings Bank, Specialty Casting, Cochran Corporation, J. C. Adams Funeral Home, and Babcock Clutch & Brake. 

The depot will also be on tour.    A crew from SAGA has worked very hard on cleaning the interior and weeding around the building.  The exterior has been painted.  Please notice the interesting artifacts stored in the depot.  Donations for further work on the depot will be accepted at the tour. 

Fliers listing the businesses and the depot will be passed out at 8-80 Days.  Those taking part, will take the flyer around to the businesses, have the flyer signed by the business, and receive a free gift from each business.  Those visiting all places on the flyer will be entered into a drawing for the $100 prize.
