| Springport Area Growth Association The members present included: Lisa Mitchell, Marci Sabados, Jeff Mitchell, Jeremy Adams, Brenda Heisler, Jerry Heisler, and Megan Burgess. The committee began the meeting by going over logos for SAGA created by Kathy Heisler. The logo chosen by the committee can be viewed online at http://www.springportmi.com/whatsnew.htm. We are still looking for businesses to be listed on the Springport Brochure for $20. We will be printing 2,500 brochures and are asking only for enough money to cover the cost of printing. The committee also looked at Newspapers to work with for promotions. The Signal has been publishing all SAGA items, which is greatly appreciated. We are also looking into public relations contacts with Eaton Rapids Community News and the Albion Recorder. We are also looking into the creation of a Community Calendar. Jeremy will be putting together an article with the Citizen Patriot for the September 14th meeting with MSU Extension. Also discussed, the Springport Community Showcase will be on September 28th from 5:30 to 8:00pm at the high school. We are looking for businesses to exhibit as well as encouraging everyone in the community to attend to make the event a success.
