Meeting called to order at 7:11pm by President Mitchell
There were 9 people present at the meeting
Motion, by Jeff Mitchell, 2nd. By Bill Russell to approve the Agenda-motion passed
Minutes of the past meeting were read and approved
Treasurer reports from October to date, were read by Lisa Mitchell
Motion by Bill Russell, 2nd. By Jeff Mitchell to accept report, subject to audit, motion passed.
Fundraising activities include the Palm Sunday Breakfast at the Centennial House, and the V.F.W. breakfast on April 25th.
There is a neighborhood watch meeting on March 3rd. at 7:00 pm and an e-mail site is being set up for anonymous tips to the watch program officer.
After discussion on SAGA purchasing a chair rake for the Township Hall to have to store chairs on, a motion was made by Bill Russell, & 2nd. By Jackie Merritt to purchase (1) 84 chair rack for approx. $269.00 + shipping.
Bill Russell reported that a guest speaker, at the monthly meeting of the Jackson County Agriculture Council, talked about major stores wanting certification of farm suppliers of grown food.
SAGA has received a gift certificate from Centennial House and 4 tickets to the local race track, to be given to the persons that submit the best ideas for the theme for this years 8 to 80 Days Festival held in June.
Steve Keeler is heading up the Alumni class reunion on June 19th. From 2-6 pm at the High School.
A motion was made by Jackie Merritt & 2nd. By Jeff Mitchell, to spend up to $200.00 for promotional items, to be given out at the festival.
The D.D.A. has monies available for co-sponsoring marketing of Springport.
The D.D.A. has a meeting on May 17th. at 7:00 pm. Bill Russell will check on the cost for advertising the festival in several of the area papers and report at the next meeting.
