| Springport Area Growth Association The meeting was called to order and the minutes read by President Lisa Mitchell on Wednesday the 21st of December at 7:07pm. Village manager Rosalee Terpening was not present but sent a report. Saga is still waiting for a reply on the 501(c)3. John Hammond donated $2500.00. Construction on Main Street won’t start till mid-July early August but MDOT will start on Green Street around mid-July, and Green Street will be closed for five days. A map of alternate entrances to businesses on Main Street during the street project was discussed. SAGA is now looking for a new media and public relations chairperson. Lisa reported that Shawn Nolan has offered the use of the Centennial house restaurant any Sunday in January or February to SAGA for a fundraising breakfast. The breakfast was tentatively scheduled for the third Sunday in January. Brenda Heisler reported the craft sale raised $216.00, the bake sale raised $53.00, and the Christmas open house raised $320.00 and there were requests from more people who want their houses in next year. She also reported that Benny and Karen Harrison are planning a dance at the VFW, Pam Wilson is planning a spaghetti dinner at the Hotel Tavern, and Denny Hoag aka Dennis Michael, a former Springport resident, is returning with his band “Just Us” to throw a fundraising concert.
