General Meeting Minutes for October 21, 2009

Minutes of October 21st. SAGA meeting

Meeting called to order at7:10 pm by President Mitchell
There were 9 people present at meeting.
Approval of Agenda was passed.
Minutes were not available for approval.
 Guest speaker, Jerry Pippiley, talked about rides & games that he has for rent. Prices are 2-3 hundred dollars per item charge.
 SAGA  would get 20% of gross ticket sales @ 2-3 dollars per ride charge to public. There is also a food wagon that could come.
 Treasurer’s report was given: Current balance is $5997.40
Report accepted subject to audit
 Jackie Merritt talked about a “Kids Corner” concept for our next 8-80 days.
 Letters will be sent to organizations & clubs, to invite them to future meeting, with their ideas for the next 8-80 days event.
 Ben Crandall attended the meeting, as part of earning his Eagle Scout badge, and is willing to help out on SAGA projects in the future.
 Pastor Brigg from the local Baptist Church talked about the “Food Pantry” for the local area. There was discussion on how SAGA could help.
 It was decided to have a bake & craft sale at the Township hall on 12/5/2009, with proceeds to go to SAGA.  There will also be a table that will be set up to wrap gifts that people bring in or purchase. Saga will furnish the wrapping materials and the charge will be food items donated to the food pantry.  Motion by Bill Russell & 2nd. by Jeff Mitchell to  allocate $100.00 for materials. Motion passed.  
Motion by Jeff, 2nd. By Bill to spend $50.00 for Halloween candy to be passed out. Motion passed.
 Bill Russell thanked Jeff Mitchell, Jerry Riske, Charlie Betz and Megan Merrill for their help on the “Equine Park” project.
 Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm.
