Ordinance 2-State Constuction Code Act

An Ordinance to designate an enforcing agency to discharge the responsibilities of the Township of Springport under the provisions of the State Construction Code Act. The Township of Springport ordains: Sec.1. Agency Designated. Pursuant to the provision of Sec. 8. Of Act 230 of the public Acts of 1972, the building official of the Township of Springport is hereby designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibilities of the Township of Springport under Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, State of Michigan. The Township of Springport hereby assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said act throughout its corporate limits. Sec.2. All ordinance inconsistent with the provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Sec.3. This ordinance shall be effective after legal publication and in accordance with provisions of the Act governing same. Adopted September 9, 1974. This Ordinance duly adopted on September 9,1974 at a regular meeting of the Springport Township Board and will be effective October 9,1974.
