Ordinance 19-State Mechanical Code (Replaces Ordinance 10)

An Ordinance to designate an enforcing agency to discharge the responsibilities of the Township of Springport under the provisions of the current State Construction Code Act. Section 1: Agency Designated. Pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 8 of Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, the Mechanical Official of the Township of Springport is hereby designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibilities of the Township of Springport under Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, State of Michigan. The Township of Springport hereby assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act throughout its corporate limits. Section 2: All Ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3: This Ordinance shall be effective after legal publication and in accordance with provisions of the Act governing same. This Ordinance duly adopted on July 11, 1994 at the regular meeting of the Springport Tosnhip Board and will become effective August 11, 1994.
